The Law

The externalized, imposed law is conflict. The intrinsic, embodied law is love.

One might want to ponder The Ten Commandments in this regard. As a prescription, whether coerced or persuaded, they are a source of conflict -- emotional resentment, intellectual nitpicking, ongoing failure to live up to the erected ideal, the default human paradigm of aspiring and becoming. As a description of the manifest presence of the transformed human psyche and spirit given the unitary perception theists conceptualize as "God," they are pointers to the very transformational essence from whence they emerged, to what my friend Saumen Sengupta calls "surrender in what is" -- love!
